Just in time for Bandcamp Friday, SKiN GRAFT Records are set to release a split 7-inch from metal icons High On Fire and Japanese bass and drum duo Ruins.
Back in 2005, SKiN GRAFT teamed up with Relapse Records for the label’s 75th-anniversary release: a split 7-inch and comic by High On Fire and Ruins.
High on Fire’s “Brother In The Wind” was recorded with legendary producer Steve Albini and featured on the band’s 2005 album Blessed Black Wings.
The Ruins track “Gwodhunqa” is exclusive to the single release. The comic was created in collaboration between Rob Syers and SKiN GRAFT (who had their own comic zine back in the ’80s) and it was the only one of the original comic and 7-inch set to be printed entirely in color.
