Comeback Kid – Heavy Steps
What a way to start 2022. Comeback Kid were not fucking around when they made Heavy Steps. This album is a wild listen. Every track is incendiary. The vocals on top of bombastic instrumentals made this a great opening to the year. If you’re into hardcore, you need to check this album out immediately.
A Wilhelm Scream – Lose Your Delusion
A Wilhelm Scream never disappoints. Lose Your Delusion was the long awaited album by the Massachusetts melodic hardcore outfit, and it fucking rips. Every track is a force to be reckoned with. It’s riff-heavy, caustic, and features some of their best songs to date. If you haven’t listened to it yet, what are you waiting for?
Drug Church – Hygiene
It’s always a treat to listen to Drug Church. They’re such a unique voice in the hardcore genre, and Hygiene delivers their own brand of hardcore full-force. Every track features masterful song-writing, killer instrumentals, and a feeling that makes you want to restart every song. Give it a listen as soon as possible!
Kind Eyes – Cruel World
Political, angry, and heavy. Kind Eyes does not mess around when it comes to their music, and their new EP Cruel World was everything I wanted from the band. Putting politics and social issues at the forefront of this monster EP gives you something to think about as you’re moshing to their music. Give it a listen as soon as possible!
Inclination – Unaltered Perspective
Unaltered Perspective was one of the finest hardcore albums this year. Every track is incendiary, bringing scathing instrumentals and animalistic vocals to deliver music that will get you two-stepping in no time. If you haven’t listened to this side project by Knocked Loose’s Isaac Hale, do it immediately!
