Hello, folks.
This is Kevin from Fritz Montana, and we have the privilege (power?) of sharing our Studio Diary with New Noise Magazine and all of you. I can’t promise you it will be all fun and games – Fritz Montana means business, and our business is to take what you can and give nothing back.
Queens of the Stone Age, Vampire Weekend, and Kings of Leon at Not So Silent Night.
So this is the Fritz: a trio of levelheaded musicians looking to restore balance to our planet through the manifestation of our songs. David Marshall (right) is our guitarist and lead vocalist, Matthew Haggarty (center) bangs the drums around, and Kevin Logan (that’s me, on theleft) slaps da bass from time to time. We recorded our debut self-titled EP (which you can find on iTunes or Spotify) six months ago up in beautiful Chico, CA: one might have described our first EP as a blend of garage rock, blues, and soul. We’re totally amped to be working on our next EP, especially with the great reception we received for our early songs. Be sure to stick out the week with us and be rewarded when we release some awesome new music.
We have the pleasure of being able to record at The Panda Studios (thepandastudios.com) in Fremont, CA. Local legends The Story So Far and other incredible bands like Man Overboard have walked these halls and jammed within the confines of these walls, so we’re very proud and excited to join the exclusive list of musicians. Ryan Ellery (who you can call Rings) is heading up our production and recording and we are just absolutely *smitten* with his talent – we’re just hoping he can put up with us for an entire week.

About Fritz Montana:
Fritz Montana is a San Francisco based blues/indie rock trio formed in early 2013.
Their story begins amidst the backdrop of the late 90′s- boy bands were in control, Clinton was romping in the White House, and Leonardo DiCaprio was slipping into the abyss of the Atlantic Ocean.
With a pocketful of ambition and a long road to puberty, three young men took it upon themselves to dedicate their lives to the betterment of American Music. Unbeknownst to these young men, they would later meet, drink some beer, and write songs that would influence the course of history and change the face of rock music forever.
