This week’s edition of The Blossom Sessions features a goth/torch song by Pittsburgh artist, J. Trafford. The song is called “The Estate,” and it was created over 20 years ago but was only released digitally back in 2016.
J. Trafford on “The Estate Re-Imagined”:
“I have produced three performances of “The Estate” in 20 years. The song is now called ‘back down to its young grave,’ and I, having learned a thing or two, am feeling right about it.”
J. Trafford began making music in the Pittsburgh area since 2002. He’s been heavily influenced by international and niche artists and finds himself to hop between genres naturally. In 2008, he started the alternative-pop group, Suavity’s Mouthpiece, and in 2020 co-founded the indie rock group, Sommelier. Currently he’s co-fronting in the glam-punk band, Nowhere Wolves, that’s comprised of members from three formerly-ascending Pittburgh rock bands.
