Western Addiction is currently on tour in Europe with Lagwagon and The Flatliners, and the band (Western Addiction, that is) are keeping us informed on what’s going down. Check out the second entry below, and check out their tour dates here.
Lyon, France to Bristol, England
Hello from Bristol! It’s a Dickensian temperature! We just finished our shows in France and have four nights in the UK before heading to Amsterdam, then Germany. I can’t wait to see the Ramones museum!
3.18 – Lyon, France
Almost every inch of La Basilique Notre Dame de Fourvière is a mosaic. It is utterly stunning.
After our show, Ken operated heavy machinery, Chris threw his hands up. 3.19 – Cognac, France
This is Joey’s filling. It fell out during their set the night before. He has to wait until Germany to see a dentist. He set it on the table. Gross! Ha!
We played at a beautiful venue. The food was sourced from local farms and incredible. The place was so nice that I wasn’t sure why we were allowed to play there.
Chadzig scoping out the record store that is always closed.
There was a chimney next to the stage. During our last song I thought it would be a good idea to climb inside. I have lots of “good ideas.”
Here’s Kenny visiting the production office. 3.19, 3.20 – Le Harve, France
We played at a cool venue called, Le Tetris. It was made out of recycled freight boxes. Here is their chicken coop.
Some of the guys went to visit the beach at Normandy. Ken and I hung around town. Can you tell we are not cold and not miserable?
Sasquatch or Slenderman sighting.
Scott, keeping it Canadian. Put on skates, punch other man.
This is how Paul looks most of the time, perpetually happy, a solid dude, 24/7.
I also need to mention that during the show, some dude pulled his dinger out and played air guitar on it on stage. I’ve seen anything and everything at a show, never seen this. Hats off, Satriani.

If you are on the fence, do yourself a favor and go to the top of the Eiffel Tower. The view is crazy. Also, it’s brown; not grey, not silver, it’s brown.
We played on a boat on the Seine. Great show. Super fun.
Sometimes you can’t eat dinner before a show if you are going to be screaming for a half hour. We often have to eat late. This is one of those nights. 3.23 – London, UK
We had to get up at 5:30am to go through UK Border Patrol and get on the ferry to cross the English Channel. When we were waiting to go in, that huge band, Train, from SF was also waiting in line. When the singer went through, Scott said, “It’s ok, he can go through, he’s the conductor.” We all cracked up. Papa Roach was also on our boat!
T and I hit the streets to see the sights. This is outside Buckingham Palace.
Lagwagon filmed a TV spot before the show to announce their upcoming show with NOFX and Alkaline Trio.
The Gallagher bothers came to the show and demanded photos with Tony and Kenny. 3.24 – Bristol, UK
The Flats doing shots at the juice bar.
T earned a little money after the show.
Manchester, see you on the pitch!
