The foundation of Tiavara was established by brothers Tikhon (lead guitar) and Danila (drums) Pachin in 2012, and after performing covers of Scars on Broadway, Marylin Manson, The Cranberries, etc., the pair joined with Aleksandr Bogdanov (rhythm guitar), Rostislav (Rost) Prus (bass), Egor Veryovkin (keyboards, percussion, backing vocals) and Arte Vardanyan (vocals) to solidify the official Tiavara line up in 2014.
Since then, Tiavara have been fashioning a blend of heavy yet melodic music with clean. powerful vocals, channeling influences from Lamb of God, Devil Driver, Godsmack, System of a Down, Slayer, to Bring Me The Horizon. They released their first EP Never Silent (2015) while touring throughout Russia, and the following year, the sextet dropped When Sheep Dream of Paradise. This past year, the group amped up their touring in preparation for the release of Delusional Tales of Grand Intentions.

TRACK BY TRACK
The Empty Sky
It is easy to forget to treat people as individuals when solving problems or trying to achieve your own goals. In a way it is even comforting to think about an abstract “someone” instead of recognising a person with feelings and emotions. The Empty Sky is about remembering that we are all human and that we are responsible for the good and the bad that we bring to each other.
Serenade of a Leech
Our lead guitarist got into a fight with one of his friends over something trivial. He was feeling frustrated and guilty at the same time and wrote “Serenade of a Leech” as way to express those emotions. The song is about losing control over your emotions and desires and about feeling emotionally drained and numb as a result.
Among the Stars
This song was inspired by the recent discovery of gravitational waves and the idea of two colliding black holes. It made us think about the proportions of such an event in comparison to our existence. “Among the Stars” is melancholic, talking about how fleeting and insignificant our lives are with all the ups and downs, yet so important to us that we sometimes take thing far more seriously then we should.
Celestial Dance
“Celestial Dance” is a protest against seeing the world in absolutes. It is meant to inspire open mindedness and to accept oneself despite flaws and virtues. The song paints a traditional picture of good against evil, however we chose to use the “sun, day and light” as a metaphor for a traditional rigid mindset of forming a one sided view on any given subject and “night, darkness and moonlight” as a metaphor for a mindset of critical thinking and approaching every problem unbiased without prejudice.
When Silence Reigns
“When Silence Reigns” is a spiritual sequel to our earlier song “Never Silent”. It is a spiralling descent into mental instability. A sufferer consciously withdraws himself from society out of fear of not being understood or accepted. It is about pushing away loved ones and retreating into a mental shell to avoid torment but making problems worse instead.
Not a Hero
With “Not a Hero” we aim to promote confidence and self reliance. The core idea is that no matter what you believe you alone are in charge of your happiness and only through action you can achieve what you desire. The song is told from a perspective of unspecified “something” that is meant to represent an idea of a higher power, whether it is “chance”, a “deity” or any other “force” that you might believe in.
Faces
Do we really know who surrounds us in the streets, on a bus or even at home? The fear of not seeing thousands of faces around you everyday and having no idea what is going on in their minds is what inspired this song. However the real question is how well do you know yourself? Have you ever caught yourself thinking that the things that are going through your mind are too terrifying for anyone to ever know?
