We’re pleased to bring you the premiere of Contra.’s new music video for their song “Submerge” (watch it below). The band will be hitting the road in mid-July (see dates below).
From heavy knuckle-dragging riffs to somber orchestral ambience, Contra. paints a refreshing and distinctive picture of metal that captivates the listener in a heart racing fashion. After years submerged in a carefully crafted plan of attack, the six piece ambient metalcore band decided to hit the ground running in 2015 through intense live performances with concise exchanges of words.
Their name, derived from the Latin prefix meaning ‘against’ or ‘contrasting’, serves as a reminder of their initial goal: to think, act, and move against the current of preconceived notions on how metal artists should both look and sound.
After no more than a year of emerging onto their local metal scene, the band decided on taking to the road and touring tirelessly to broaden their reach and support their self-titled EP.
