Chicago-based post-hardcore band Davlin have released their second EP, A Lifetime Spent in Gray, today. The record is reminiscent of The Devil Wears Prada, Knuckle Puck and A Day To Remember. In the same post-hardcore vein, the band throw elements of nostalgic with thrashy guitar breaks and vocalist and guitarist Alex Zarek’s familiar screams.
“We took our time with this one, making sure that everything we did was a deliberate choice and that everyone had a voice in the process,” Zarek said. “Seth [Always.Be.Genius Record Studio] definitely pushed us to progress, and I believe this new album is exactly that: an example of progress.”
The album is available on Spotify and iTunes.
