Divers released their debut LP Hello Hello last year to a chorus of praise from the likes of Noisey, Stereogum, Impose, AbsolutePunk, Portland Mercury, Willamette Week, Brooklyn Vegan, Wondering Sound, and more. Now the Portland band is back with a new 7″ for Dirt Cult Records (out on April 19th). The A side is “Achin’ On” – a brand song from the band, while the B side is a cover of Dead Moon’s “You Can’t Do That.” Check out the tunes below!
The band, who are heading to Japan for a tour in April, consists of Harrison Rapp (guitar and vocals), Seth Rapp (guitar), James Deegan (bass), and Colby Hulsey (drums). They describe themselves like so: “We play dynamic, sweaty music. The indie rockers say we are a punk band. The punk rockers are suspicious that we might be an indie band. The bands that have inspired us fall on both sides of the fence, but they all share the same kind of energy. If we have any clear idea about what we are doing, it has something to do with that energy.”
