We’re pleased to bring you the premiere of The Doublecross‘ (aka Jon Greenwood) new music video for their song “Fireworks and Butterflies” (watch it below). The Cardiff singer songwriter who cites the likes of Teenage Fanclub, Hot Water Music and Rival School as his influences is gearing up for the release of his third studio album Keep Bleeding.
The Doublecross had this to say about the song:
“Lyrically the song makes references, both specific and metaphoric which are of a very personal nature. As with all the music I’ve written over the years I rarely explain much as I prefer people to take from a song whatever they wish to take.
The main theme is one of self doubt with the video actually suggesting there may be a sprinkle of hope in there somewhere. It was produced and directed by the film maker Chris Chucas who filmed me dressed as a clown at 4am at the Gavin and Stacey famous Barry Island. It was fun, but I’ll never do anything like that again. A few local early risers weren’t expecting that whilst walking the dog and going for a jog!”
Keep Bleeding will be released on Friday 7th October by Boss Tuneage, No Panic, Tiny Little Creatures and Aaahh Real Records and is available for pre-order now at these locations: Boss Tuneage | No Panic | Tiny Little Creatures | Aaahh Real Records
