Video Premiere: El Lago – “Tell Me How It Ends”

We’re pleased to bring you the premiere of El Lago’s music video for their song “Tell Me How It Ends” (watch it below). The track is taken from the band’s album Colors, which is out now through Miss Champagne Records.

The band commented on the song & video:

‘Tell Me How It Ends’ is future-obsessed. It’s about the unknown of the future that keeps us guessing and working day after day. Looking at the future as a constant pursuit, we paired each band member with an apparition. They each have a little charm, a little ambiguity. We wanted something surreal that shows familiar and strange places in Galveston. The inspiration was a flurry of things, like vintage Mardi Gras photos, an empty fortune cookie, and silent film. Shooting happened over two days, with the crew driving in from Houston. We were surprised we were able to cover so much in that short space of time!

About the band:

Galveston, Texas might be known as a coastal destination for Texas vacationers, but for the pedal soaked music of El Lago, Galveston is home. Mixing sounds that remind you of what would happen if Cocteau Twins and Ringo Deathstarr covered the music of Spiritualized, the band has been known to cause a stir with their dreamlike performances.

The four piece has always crafted plenty of soundscapes to complement the vocals of lead singer and guitarist Lauren Eddy, and their recent recordings with Austin Sepulvado (Buxton, Dollie Barnes, Ancient Cat Society) and Grammy winning engineer Steve Christensen (Robert Ellis, Khruangbin, Destiny’s Child, Steve Earle) seem to capture the magic that the band crafts together on what will become their debut full length release.

Upcoming Show:
October 5 – Houston, TX at Dan Electro’s Guitar Bar
