We’re pleased to bring you the exclusive stream of Geometers‘ new track “Title Fight” (listen below). The song is taken from the band’s forthcoming self-titled digital EP (recorded by J. Robbins), out February 5th through Jetsam Flotsam, as well as on cassette from the band’s own imprint Codependent Records at a later date.
The band comments on the track:
“Lyrically, the song’s about not taking anyone’s shit anymore–predominately from oneself. People are too often forced into this submissive space where they are constantly bending to the will of others just because it’s the easiest thing to do. Then it hits them that most everyone’s in it for themselves so really, by bending too, they’re just facilitating everyone’s life but their own.
In a broader sense, this was the song that brought us together as a band, and it remains one of our favorites to play. It’s a perfect example of how things always turn out different (and often better) when writing collaboratively.”
Geometers will be playing at Shea Stadium in Brooklyn, NY on February 3rd with Never, Wild Pink, and Superblonde. RSVP via Facebook here.
