Oakland, CA’s False Positives have released their five-track debut, titled Departures, through Bay Area’s Def Cow Records. The band members include many familiar faces in the East Bay scene, including Kevin Skalba who has helped put on This Is My Fest in Oakland the past 3 years, as well as members from Weekender and Drunk Dial.
Musically, False Positives have a high energy sound similar to that of early Lawrence Arms. The five songs on Departures show great range and potential for this brand new band.
