Famous Last Words Stream Upcoming Album ‘The Incubus’

Famous Last Words have premiered their new record The Incubus. The album’s official release date is September 30th, but can be streamed today below. The Incubus is being released on Revival Recordings and features many notable guest vocal spots, including: Matt Good of From First to Last, Spencer Sotelo from Periphery and From First to Last, Ricky Armellino of This or The Apocalypse, and Emily Piriz, a former American Idol contestant. Couple this with producer Taylor Larson, and the 12 track record seems to be a highlight for the Petoskey, MI outfit.

Vocalist JT Tollas commented on the record, All of our full-length albums have told stories that tackle extremely difficult situations…The Incubus, tackl(es) the issue of sexual and domestic abuse. I felt it was important to step forward and really bring this relentless issue to light.” This concept was also introduced in the music video for the song “Pretty In Porcelain” with the main character Christine, a stay at home mother in the 1950s. The idea was continued into the music video for “The Judge.”

Hailing from Petoskey, MI, post hardcore outfit Famous Last Words [consisting of JT Tollas (vocals), Evan Foley (guitar), Mathew Bell (bass), Craig Simons (drums), Tyler Myklebust (guitar)], formed in 2009 and have collectively sold over 20,000 albums/30,000 single sales to date. With a band name reflecting the final articulated words of an individual before death, often to be immortalized as the centerpiece of a particular movement, Famous Last Words is a pertinent name for a band whose lyrics, concepts, and themes revolve around life, death, hope and love. Utilizing heavy guitar riffs, catchy hooks, folly, and symphonic elements, the band introduces detailed stories into their lyrics and album structure; transforming their band into more of an art project.
