Philadelphia Noise-punks Fight Amp has announced two-weeks of dates with Eyehategod for April. The dates will hit spots along the east coast as well as some mid-west and southern spots (confirmed dates listed below).
This is the band’s first foray with the Louisiana sludge-masters and is sure to be a powder-keg of live amp aggression throughout. Most recently Fight Amp played shows with Whores,Creepoid and UXO and announced they have written a wealth of new material.
Following their own twisted sonic path over the past decade, Fight Amp’s sound has incorporated influences from noise-rock, sludge, hardcore, grunge and punk. Last summer’s Constantly Off EP (Brutal Panda) received positive ink from outlets including Noisey, Metal Sucks and Stereogum. The latter outlet saying of the band’s sound “Beneath a hard crust of booming toms and slippery Unsane-esque rhythms lies an efficient, borderline-pop songwriting sensibility.”

Listen to “Hide Your Teeth” (from the 7” on Reptilian Records) below.
Composed of Mike McGinnis (guitar, vocals), Jon DeHart (bass, vocals) and Dan Smith (drums), the group hopes to record and release new material before the end of the year.
