With artists constantly getting on the road to tour the country in support of their music, there are plenty of different lifestyles or tips to take into consideration. Ryan Martin recently released Gimme Some Light, an Americana record with plenty of soul. There’s plenty of pensive moments throughout the record, decorated with shimmering vocals and detailed, layered instrumentals. New Noise Magazine is pleased to be bringing forth some quick tour tips from the illustrious Ryan Martin!

1) Don’t get wasted.

2) If you do bring a bucket.

3) In Missouri (and other states) there are deer. They will wander onto the highway and you may have to avoid them. If you can’t, pull over after the incident. Do not just keep driving out of shock and fear at what the wreckage looked like that you left behind. Your van may need immediate service.

4) In spite of the sometimes dismal nature of touring, remember that the music is why your doing this, and if you give your soul to an audience of three, or bartender or two, something meaningful has happened.

5) Keep doing it.
