Flasher Premiere Music Video For “Destroy”

Flasher have unveiled a music video for their song “Destroy.” The song comes off of a self-titled cassette that the band released in April. The release is being reissued by Sister Polygon and seeing a vinyl edition that is set to hit shelves November 18th. The music video for “Destroy” finds the band wandering different sceneries with an old monitor producing different visual effects while the band sings.

Long-time friends, Mulitz, Saperstein, and Baker are also established members of Washington, D.C.’s recently re-emergent DIY music scene. However, while Flasher is a product of that crew, its music operates by different physics. Where their local peers favor direct and volatile gestures, Flasher’s music exists in the tension between conflicting feelings and sensibilities. In the sometimes-gritty context of a DIY venue, Flasher manages to project a bit of sensuality. They explore the overlap between aggression and intimacy.
