Video Premiere: Forever House – “Spiders”

Forever House

We’re pleased to bring you the premiere of Forever House’s music video for their song “Spiders” (watch it below). The track is taken from the band’s forthcoming album Eaves, which is scheduled to be released on November 9, 2018 through Infrequent Seams. You can pre-order the album here.

You were right to be paranoid, back when it was all new and strange. You’d nearly forgotten the eyes and ears shadowing your every click, your every like, your every innermost feeling. You gave away your secrets, willingly. “We’re all about connection,” they say, and you feel warm for a moment, all wrapped up in the web of everyone else you ever knew, everyone you never wanted to know.

“Spiders” cries out from the snares of the era of privacy nihilism, the too-late realization of what’s been lost.

The “Spiders” music video, made by band member Pete Wise, cuts between instructional videos on lie detectors and car surveillance, drone crash footage, and spycam shots of Forever House, evoking the tweaky paranoia and sinister entanglements of our digital age.
