They Might Be Giants are a very influential duo throughout the music world (and to me personally), especially when it comes to their third studio album, Flood, released in January 1990. A tour was set to celebrate the album’s 30th year anniversary in 2020, but with a pandemic closing down everything and John Flansburgh’s car accident last year during the tour, Oakland, California had to wait a bit longer than anticipated.
After the dust settled, The Fox Theater crowd was excited about the duo finally arriving. The night was full of recent and classic hits from the band, delightful stage banter, and plenty of solos. The band still sound amazing live and knows how to put on an amazing performance, so I highly recommend seeing them live if they come to your area.
