Have Heart Announce Rare Tour Dates

One of the most beloved and passionate bands of the 2000s return for a few select shows. The band and Bridge 9 released this statement:

“Ten Years have passed, and we have decided to get together to play four shows—four shows only. Hope to see you this summer.

Kei Yasui, Patrick Flynn, Austin Stemper, Ryan Hudon, Shawn Costa”

Since then, the band added a few more tour dates to accommodate the demand for tickets, but also stated that no more will be added.

Defined by their intense emotion, Have Heart was a superb hardcore band led by their feelings and frustrations. Personal lyrics screamed by Pat Flynn over heavy chugs and highlighted by ample opportunities to finger point, pile on, and sing along, they played their last show on Edge Day, 10.17.09.

Have Heart helped created a sound which shaped the East Coast in the 2000s. Eschewing generic scene topics, Have Heart told relatable stories of life’s challenges, like “The Unbreakable,” “Old Man,” “Watch Me Sink,” and “What Counts.” The 2000s were stabilized with Boston friends, Guns Up!, RI partners, Verse, and bands like Philly’s Blacklisted, Reign Supreme, and the Cro-Mags .

The band released two full-lengths on Bridge 9 and a live record of their last show plus a demo and two EPs. While known for their “heart fully exposed on sleeve” lyrics, the band played exceptionally, adding textured layers drawing from bands like Turning Point, Strife, and Trial. Ensure your spot to be sure to hear the straight edge anthems “Something More than Ink” or “Armed with a Mind.”
