“You know those sleepless nights filled with existential dread and fretful regret? If not, keep it that way. ‘War Within’ is about the ongoing battle between rational thought and anxiety. On an aside; it took me several weeks to notice that our drummer, Gizmo had snuck in some military-style snare work to reflect the theme of war. #subtle.” – Hercules Morse vocalist / rhythm guitarist Steve George

We’re pleased to bring you the premiere of Hercules Morse’s music video for their song “War Within” (watch it below). The track is taken from the band’s forthcoming album Vita Boundary, which is scheduled to be released on May 4, 2018.

About the band:

With a mutual love for both riffs and groove, UK alternative quartet Hercules Morse dispatch Fu Manchu styled stoner rock, with a Beatles-esque approach to melody, blended with the Foo Fighters’ take on classic rock. The end result is potent and breathtaking. Already with firm support from Kerrang! Radio, Rock Sound, Powerplay Magazine, and Kerrang! Magazine, the emerging South Coast riff masters release their debut album, Vita Boundary.

The foursome hail from Southampton, and since their inception in 2014, they’ve received press for their recorded work. The band’s debut EP, Edge Of Life, picked up much praise from Kerrang Magazine and Rock Sound Magazine, as well as radio airplay from BBC Six Music, Introducing and Kerrang! Radio. The alt-rockers’ follow-up EP, Equine Size Comparison, further underlined the band’s dexterity and appeal, with glowing reviews and support from Powerplay Magazine, Kerrang! Radio, Team Rock, and BBC Radio.

Hercules Morse have also widely toured throughout the UK, and along the way have supported Turbowolf, Band of Skulls, Black Peaks, Blaze Bayley, Tiger Cub, Orange Goblin and Dinosaur Pile Up, as well as appearing on a range of bills with everyone from Calvin Harris and Primal Scream through to Duran Duran and The Streets.

Hercules Morse are poised to up the ante again with the release of Vita Boundary. Brimming with charging guitar lines and engaging lyrics, and wrapped around driving bass riffs and woven vocals, the album flows perfectly from back to front. Particular highlights include their new single, “Everything Is Great”(watch video below), and their blistering follow-up single, “War Within.”
