Los Angeles group HUSHMONEY have delivered another banger, just a taste of what is to come. “Bad Guy (Until He Died)” is a heavy-swinging, explosive track. This five-piece band has our undivided attention.
In 2021, HUSHMONEY materialized into the music scene with their debut EP Success Pool, which introduced their hardcore, 90s rock with a hint of country. HUSHMONEY is a band made up of musicians from a variety of bands, such as The All American Rejects, ExMag, FÓRN, Such Hounds, and a writer from the HBO series Animals.
The new song arrives with the animated visual created by Documa and follows the band’s previously shared single “Bad For You.”

The track opens with explosive guitar and vocals. It has some hard moments and will transport you to the alt-rock movement of the 1990s, when the genre blurred and became more intense. The point of their music is an intriguing fusion of creativity; the variety has produced an entirely new sound. It’s raw and gutsy, and the vocals will allure any fan of music with an appreciation of the blending of genres. The vocals are sexy and gripping; there’s no walls here. Lyrically, the track feels like a play on how we love what’s bad for us, and we cannot help ourselves. This track deliberately leaves us wanting more.
