We’re pleased to bring you the premiere of Indonesian Junk’s new music video for their song “Shake It With You” (watch it below). The track is taken from the band’s self-titled album, available now through Rum Bar Records and Some Weird Sin Records.
The band comments on the video:
“Even though the director had the video set in the ’90s, this is sort of our homage to the satanic panic of the 1980s. When we were kids everyone was freaking out about how all the dorky stuff we loved like D&D and heavy metal was satanic and stuff. This is like if all those warnings were true and we’re like this demonic heavy metal band that the dorky kids accidentally conjure from hell and we just drink all their root beer and wreck their party.”
Big hooks and big riffs is what Indonesian Junk is all about. Hailing from the land of Lenny, Squiggy, and the Crusher this Milwaukee ménage à trois takes the best elements of glam, punk, power pop, and heavy metal; ditches the fluff and cranks out 10 tuff street-pop shakers. They’re sleazy and sincere, pairing their hymns of damaged love with dangerous guitar heroics on their full length debut.
