We’re pleased to bring you the premiere of Ingurgitating Oblivion’s new song “Vision Wallows In Symphonies Of Light” (listen below). The track is taken from the band’s upcoming album by the same name, which is scheduled to be released on April 21st through Willowtip Records. You can pre-order the album here.
Florian of Ingurgitating Oblivion comments on the song:
“‘Vision wallows in Symphonies of Light’ obviously is the title track of the new IO release. In a way, this track is hymnic, challenging to play, polyphonic and very profound both musically and lyrically. Personally, I am very proud of the beautiful beginning with its mourning solos and chaotic rhythmic backbone. The middle part offers loads of cacophonous craziness and we have used pianos, semi-distorted guitars, vibraphones and such. The bass lines are just awesome and, of course, Lille’s percussive performance is absolutely mind-bending. We put a lot of work into the vocals which are haunting and, I’d say, kind of old-school and blasphemous. To feel what I am on about, just give it a listen and you’ll know…”
About the band:
Emerging from the bleakest corners of the abyss, Ingurgitating Oblivion return with their third album Vision Wallows In Symphonies of Light. Abundant in unexpected turns and shifts in direction that explore elements that are obscure, brutal and complex, as well as progressive and genre defying, Vision Wallows In Symphonies of Light is the embodiment of an auditory labyrinth.
With the recruitment of Lille Gruber from Defeated Sanity on drums, Ingurgitating Oblivion have brought forth thought provoking audio works that are drenched in soul crushing dissonance, and merged with a variety of atypical elements such as pianos, vibraphones, and jazz guitars. The end result is one of the most sensible and challenging death metal releases to date!
