Video Premiere: Jane in Space – “Full Stop”

Jane in Space

We’re pleased to bring you the premiere of Jane in Space’s music video for their song “Full Stop” (watch it below). The track is taken from the band’s  sophomore album Gorerunner, which can be purchased/streamed through Spotify, iTunes, Google Play, and all other major digital distributors.

The band commented on the video:

The ‘Full Stop’ video is part of the larger, nonlinear narrative in all the videos for our new album. Effortlessly shifting from the Cronenberg-esque nightmare of ‘eat your face,’ director Permian Strata has now moved to a more stately descent into the unreal evocative of another of my favorite movie directors, David Lynch. Permian Strata’s visual effects and technique remain, as always, top notch, and I can’t wait to ‘finish’ this story with him in videos for the two remaining tracks on ‘gorerunner’ — it is gonna get intense.

Director Permian Strata added:

I got to use some of my favorite tricks for this one: keying out the sky, foregrounding the visual noise, and projecting on Tom’s face. It’s like a greatest hits montage of all of the visual effects that I’ve explored while working with Jane in Space.

About the band:

Brooklyn-based duo Jane In Space released their sophomore record, Gorerunner on July 13, 2018. With rave reviews from All Things Go, Your EDM, Alt Nation, The Big Takover, and more, Pure Grain Audio states, “[Jane In Space] keeps you spellbound with their hypnotic electronic then, when you least expect it, jab you hard with their deep industrial beats.” Music so intricately made requires a delicate balance of skilled musicians involved, and the finishing touch on Gorerunner was renowned sound manipulator Keith Hillebrandt (Nine Inch Nails, David Bowie).

Having played key roles in NIN’s “The Fragile” and Bowie’s “I’m Afraid of Americans,” Hillebrandt stated that, “Typically when I work with others, whether it’s on a remix, mixing, or production, it’s really important to me to actually like the music I’m going to be working on, as silly as that sounds …I knew right away that I wanted to be involved in helping them take that next step sonically and artistically. It was their fearlessness and openness to ideas that really made them fun to collaborate with.”
