News: LA ska crew Victory Kid Drop new single ‘Escape Our Fate’

LA ska/pop-punk outfit Victory Kid have released a new single.

“Escape Our Fate” is the latest showcase of the band’s frank, politically charged and perennially hooky ska, with driving rock tones adorning the latest track.

Drummer Carlo Ribaux explains: “A feeling of impending doom has shaped our entire generation. ‘Escape Our Fate’ is an expression of our fears and hopes around the topics that concern us most.”

Ribaux continues: “It’s the second single off of our upcoming (as-of-yet untitled) record. The song is a call to arms against the forces that stand to benefit from the destruction of our planet. The track was recorded and produced by Mike Pepe (Taking Back Sunday) at Capitol Studios and Fab Factory in Los Angeles.”

From protest anthems to high-energy hits about the SoCal lifestyle, Victory Kid broke onto the scene with a trio of quickfire EP’s, produced by Allan Hessler (The Used, Avenged Sevenfold, Goldfinger). Led by anthems such as ‘Tuck Frump,’ ‘Stepping Out,’ and ‘My World,’ Victory Kid marry the raucous and the reflective. The band saw a new level of success with hit single ‘Clownin,’ which has been streamed over two million times.

Summer 2022 saw an inaugural European Tour, sharing a bill with Mad Caddies and The Bouncing Souls. The band continued to win over new fans with December 2022 single “No Brakes” featuring on hit video game Fortnite.

Victory Kid returned to Europe this summer, playing SBAM Festival alongside Enter Shikari, Rancid and more.
