We’re pleased to bring you the premiere of Lapsaria’s new music video for their song “Marrow” (watch it below). The track is taken from the band’s forthcoming EP Nothing To Atone, which is scheduled to be released soon.
“In the spirit of such classic bands like Converge and Trap Them. The new single ‘Marrow’ from London, Ontario based band Lapsaria is a vicious slab of harrowing, blasting grind and hardcore that packs so much into its 45 second run time, it may require listening multiple times at uncomfortable volume to catch the full effect. ‘Marrow’ now debuts with a visceral black and white video that features the band in a dimly lit purgatory, crushing their way through the short but powerful track while vocalist Jim Oag thrashes and rasps his abstract lyrics.” – Tyler Dupuis
Lapsaria is a 4-piece band from London, Ontario that specializes in their own brand of filthy, grinding hardcore. Consisting of vocalist Jim Oag, guitarist Andrew Penchuk, bassist Chris Belanger & drummer Mike Cercone, Lapsaria has spent the past few years building up a reputation for unhinged and violent live performances (often ending with Jim covered in blood, dirt, spit and puke) with even more unhinged and violent songs played at breakneck speed.
Bleak and varied in approach, their new record Nothing to Atone (recorded at Chicago based studio Bricktop Recordings with engineer Andy Nelson, known for his work with Dead In The Dirt, Harms Way, etc.) is poised to set a new standard in heavy music in Ontario, featuring their sharpened focus on making a cohesive release that still delivers an air of tortured unease and deep-seated rage.
