We’re pleased to bring you the premiere of Laserchrist’s music video for their song “Oh, Ethyl!” (watch it below). The track is taken from the band’s EP DIY-bother?, which is available through Bandcamp, as well as Spotify, Deezer, and all other major digital distributors.
The video was filmed at Wonkfest 6 at the Tufnell Park Dome on July 28, 2018. It was edited by Mark Richards.
About the band (Alex Wonk, Wonk Unit / Plasterer Records):
Laserchrist are a melodic punk band from Durban South Africa who moved to South London coz they thought it was the most exciting thing in the world to do. Think Dinosaur Junior and Iron Chic, but really just think Laserchrist. Comparisons really don’t do them justice. There are a million Leatherface-esque bands but these guys just leap out from all their peers in the UK underground. Serious melodies, serious musicians. These boys can actually play.
This DIY-bother EP showcases their repertoire of soulful bangers. They aren’t afraid to stray from the path. Newly signed to Plasterer (the record label of Wonk Unit, Aerial Salad, pizzatramp, The Dub Righters, The Dopamines and The Raging Nathans). Expect a full album release in Spring 2019. “Oh, Ethyl!” is the band’s debut single.
