We’re pleased to bring you the premiere of MAYPINE’s new music video for their song “North/South Divide” (watch it below). The track is taken from the band’s forthcoming EP In The Back Of My Mind, which is scheduled to be released through Disconnect Disconnect Records on August 4th. You can pre-order the EP here.

MAYPINE vocalist Jason Payne comments:

“‘North/South Divide’ is a deeply personal song for me. It was one of the first I wrote for the new record. The song is about loving someone but feeling that you’re letting them down. That you’re not good enough for them and that they deserve better. It was a central theme for me when writing this record. The video references the metaphor in the lyrics ‘on a sinking ship’ albeit with a darker spin on it. The guys at Life is Art Visuals pitched us the idea and we all loved it instantly. It was great fun shooting the video and we hope that everybody enjoys watching it as much as we enjoyed shooting it!”

Bringing together hugely infectious refrains and buoyant punk-rock rhythms, rising UK pop-punkers MAYPINE set loose their new EP, In The Back Of My Mind.
