I The Mighty have released new song “Chaos In Motion.” Chaos In Motion” is the second single from their highly-anticipated new album Where the Mind Wants to Go / Where You Let it Go due out October 20th on Equal Vision Records. Already regarded as one of the most progressive voices in alternative rock, “Chaos In Motion”, which was produced by Casey Bates (Portugal. The Man) and mixed by Neal Avron (Twenty One Pilots, Walk The Moon) feels as though it has tapped into a bigger picture for the band. It still carries the brand of emotive; highly-energetic rock the band has built it’s fanbase on, but somehow captures something even more anthemic. The staccato keyboards, wall of guitars and arena-ready percussion set the stage for Brent Walsh to really show his ability to captivate in an intimately relatable fashion while still rocking hard enough to live up to the band’s reputation as one of the most dynamic live bands in rock.
The band also organized an OCD trigger video to accompany the track, which was directed by John Komar, tackles the topic of obsessive compulsiveness through a series of cringe-worthy activities that are massive OCD triggers in how “off” they are. A pencil moves at the last second as you’re tracing a stencil. Someone cuts a slice of pizza in the middle of the pie instead of from the crust. These are the sort of massively infuriating scenarios that are included in this video; forming a clever play on the songs title.
