MISTAKES Cover Halsey’s “Not Afraid Anymore” For Motel TV Series

We’re pleased to bring you the premiere of MISTAKES’ new video covering Halsey’s song “Not Afraid Anymore” (watch it below). The video is part of an acoustic video series, featuring the band performing cover songs, titled Motel TV.

The band comment on the video:

“‘Not Afraid Anymore’is the first cover of our new cover series Motel TV. We wanted to start a channel where we could re-imagine songs other than our originals, and give them a darker flare. Our singer Lauren is a big fan of Halsey so it seemed an appropriate first choice.”

MISTAKES is a New York City rock band formed by members Lauren Hudson, Alex Sinaly, and Brian Wenzler. The group initially began with Hudson recruiting Sinaly to join her former project Red Atlantic. However, wanting to incorporate new stylistic elements to their sound, the pair branched out. Shortly thereafter, their line-up soon changed to vocalist/guitarist Lauren Hudson, bassist/Keys Alex Sinaly, and guitarist Brian Wenzler.

The band hit the studio in March 2016, working with From First To Last guitarist and producer Taylor Larson on new material. While in the studio, the trio was introduced to Periphery vocalist Spencer Sotelo who had a hand in producing the record. In September 2016, the band released their first single “Pull Me Under” and is on tour this spring (see dates below).

April 9 – Long Branch NJ at Brighton Bar w/ With Friends Like These
April 11 – Baltimore NJ at Sidebar
