New Noise Magazine is pleased to be bringing forth the premiere of “Dope and Dice” by ILLUSIONIST. With raw, untempered power the band is a bombastic sonic force to reckon with. Slamming together a few genres lets the group mix and match their destructive, adrenaline pumping tracks and visceral vocals. Take a view below, and stay tuned for more from the young group.
“As a few years have passed with this project, we see ourselves less as a metal band, and more so a band capable of writing and performing an unheard sound. Weird and noisy dancing on a fine line with groove and excitement, that’s how we like it. It’s the most us we’ve felt, but just the start of uncovering the true sound of ILLUSIONIST.”
With raw riffs, groovy drums, varying vocal styles, and noise control, Illusionist has developed a unique and flexible sound, reminiscent of ’90s nü-metal and hard rock. “Dope and Dice” follows up the band’s 2016 EP Smart Mouth. The song highlights just one of the few styles Illusionist is capable of executing.
