Music Video Premiere: The Ivory – “3 Years”

The Ivory

New Noise Magazine is pleased to be bringing forth an eerie but energetic video for “3  Years” from The Ivory. The track drifts between different synth driven soundscapes with ease. It’s romantic, bittersweet but has an opening that has people thinking twice about entering. The refrain is catchy as can be, shifting the pace and dynamics masterfully. The song can be heard below with an accompanying video that captures the atmosphere beautifully.

“This song is about getting out of a toxic relationship that was eventually destroyed by drugs and alcohol. It’s the moment I realized I was just going through the same unhealthy motions in a relationship. I became jaded and numb about it, and knew it wasn’t going to work out.” – The Ivory

Since hitting the Raleigh, North Carolina area, THE IVORY is not your average band in today’s music scene. THE IVORY has harnessed a unique mix of raw uncut rock, pop and dark synth rock on their most recent single, “3 YEARS”.

Though the band was started by Shane Crump, member of Alesana, who has been touring, writing and playing music for better than 10 years, he has stepped out to pursue his dream of creating THE IVORY, alongside Alesana’s, drummer Jeremy Bryan. He has always pushed himself as a writer. He is constantly recording, tracking down ideas and refining his sound. Since adding members, Crump has created a unique four piece to bring an incredible live sound.

With THE IVORY’s live show, they have no trouble captivating the crowd with their high energy and multiple vocal harmonies. Lead singer and guitar player Shane Crump displays attitude and grit in both his lyrics and voice, for an intense live performance.
