“‘Tell Me What You’re Running From?’ is one of the first songs we wrote for the album. Davie sent me through the initial idea for the song and I had the vocal melodies written almost instantly. With this album, we were trying to make sure that everything we wrote was as different as possible to anything we had done before and this particular song came very naturally in that regard. The song is all about fighting your own demons and being honest with yourself about what is holding you back in life. It intertwines fear of failure and fear of success and, ultimately, talks about how no matter what the short term gain is in running away from your demons, it will never fix them in the long run.” – Written By Wolves

Having spent the last three years perfecting their sound, touring rigorously, and netting a devoted fan base in and outside their native New Zealand with over 13 million streams on Spotify, Written By Wolves are poised for international domination with the upcoming release of their debut album.

They are the highest streamed rock band from New Zealand, having amassed more than 125,000 monthly listeners on Spotify and over 52,000 subscribers and 10 million views on YouTube. Previous singles ‘Not Afraid To Die’, ‘Genius’ and ‘Timebombs & Hurricanes’ have all received Highly Commended Awards in the prestigious International Song Writing Competition.

Renowned for their highly energetic live show, the band have already shared the stage with international heavyweights such as Machine Gun Kelly, Limp Bizkit, Pendulum, Sublime With Rome, Suicidal Tendencies, Hed PE, Falling In Reverse, Escape The Fate, We The Kings, Four Year Strong, Stevie Stone, Kehlani and have just finished back-to-back tours with two of New Zealand’s biggest Rock bands, Devilskin and Blindspott.
