Alternative band Ancira drops its newest, dynamic track “Elation Atrophy.” The tune is the first song off the band’s upcoming LP.
“’Elation Atrophy’ is the story of me hitting rock bottom and realizing that I was surrounded by fair weather friends who only wanted me to fail,” vocalist Drew Stone says. “As soon as I began making positive changes in my lifestyle, my viewpoint of life and allowing God to direct me, my friends scattered.”
Formed at the onset of the pandemic, Ancira aggressively pushed its brand in 2013, releasing a song every six weeks during an impressive stretch. The group also toured the West Coast. Ancira has more shows to coincide with the LP in 2024.
“Sometimes you need to hit rock bottom to make needed changes and see life for what it really is,” Stone continued. “My favorite line in the song is ‘Rock bottom felt like a vacation. Solid enough ground to build a foundation’.”
Ancira is a huge sounding band with big aspirations. Keep a close eye on them here.
