Tasmanian garage-punk group A. Swayze & The Ghosts have shared new single “Mess Of Me.” The newcomers have been receiving some attention after a single on Rough Trade Records and energetic live performances alongside acts including Shame, Total Control, and The Vines. The single follows the announcement of the band’s first North American tour dates.
“Mess Of Me” is a propulsive, punk-tinged rocker with echoes of The Strokes and early Arctic Monkeys and a classic, Stooges-type energy. The single comes with a Groundhog Day-themed video by Nick Green.
A. Swayze & The Ghosts current slate for 2020 includes their first stateside performances, beginning in April. On May 2, the band will perform at Shaky Knees Music Festival in Atlanta, GA.
