Pop-punk band Always Grounded release its latest tune “Wasted Youth.” It’s the purest of pure pop-punk tracks, featuring a bouncy melody, catchy hook and driving drum beat.
“A song about letting go,” lead vocalist RJ says describing “Wasted Youth.” “Sometimes we look for reasons to stay with the wrong person when the universe keeps giving us signs that it’s not meant to be.”
It’s the first release from the band since it dropped an EP in October titled Fake Smiles, Bright Futures. It featured one of Always Grounded’s most downloaded tunes, “I’ll Pass On That, Captain!”
The band just wrapped up putting together a new EP with producer Chris Curran, who has worked with pop-punk stars Handguns.
‘I wrote this song almost as to say goodbye to a time of my life that I drew a tone of inspiration from,” RJ continues. “I can’t say that this will be our final ‘break up’ song, but it’s definitely the last one about that time!”
The Connecticut natives recently opened for Craig Owens in Hartford with more shows potentially anticipated in 2024. Watch out for announcements and new music here.
