Las Vegas pop-rock trio Amarionette have unveiled their first new music of 2024. The band has partnered with The Dangerous Summer’s AJ Perdomo for the swooning “Impossible.”
The deft interplay between vocalist Issy Berry’s vibrant pop poetry and The Dangerous Summer frontman’s expressive emo intonations makes “Impossible” a mellow listen.
Expanding on the collaboration, Amarionette’s Nick Raya shares: “AJ Perdomo has always been high on our list of collaborations. We’d sent him a few ideas, but it was the original music of ‘Impossible’ that he ended up loving and things progressed from there.”
With over 5 million streams on Spotify and having toured nationally—including with the likes of Kurt Travis, Eidola and Strawberry Girls—Amarionette are a genre bending tour de force. The band’s dexterous and expressive sound is intricate and impeccably delivered. Indeed, they draw on on influence from rock, pop, and well beyond. The tracks combine big hooks, retro synth layers and enchanting vocals.
Twenty-twenty-two output Gemini, was a heady blend of pop-sensibility and candy-coated funk rock. Expressive and decadent, the band’s fifth studio album was delivered with an artistry and guile that separates the Sin City outfit from so many of the chasing crowd.
Their highly anticipated first release of 2024 sees Amarionette team with The Dangerous Summer’s AJ Perdomo. Simmering summer single “Impossible” is a dusky and mesmerizing pop anthem, dripping with a silky ’80’s nostalgia and heart-on-sleeve lyricism.
