Amorphis have dropped a new single, “On The Dark Waters,” from the soon to be released album, Halo, out February 11 via Atomic Fire Records.
Lyricist Pekka Kainulainen states:
“I got the idea to reverse the direction of the Tuonela stream—Tuonela is the realm of the dead in Finnish mythology. So, I started writing from the moment of death … And death was not the end, but the beginning.”
Amorphis have collaborated with Pook Watches for The Pook “On The Dark Waters” limited edition watch. Each watch has a three-year warranty, and their components have been selected so that the watch is functional for an extended time and serviceable by a clock smith. All units are assembled at Pook’s watch workshop in Joensuu, Finland, and will include a greeting signed by the band. Delivery of the watches begin in the Spring of 2022. Sylvaine and Hoaxed will be joining Amorphis on a U.S. tour beginning April 13 at the Gramercy Theatre in New York and ending May 12 in Baltimore, MD.
