Ashbringer

Black metallers Ashbringer are set to release their new record We Came Here To Grieve  September 29 via Translation Loss Records. This is Ashbringer’s first release since their 2019 record Absolution. Need a taste of We Came Here To Grieve? Check out their new single “Pages” below.

Regarding the new single, Ashbringer state:

“As we began writing for this upcoming album, ‘Pages’ was the first track we put together. It did not take more than a few weeks of us working on it to establish how exciting the rest of the process would be for us. As we feel this upcoming album represents our ‘mission statement’ in terms of what we are able to accomplish as a group and what kind of vision we have for the immediate future, this song would easily be considered to us as the ‘tag-line’.”

Vocals, guitar overdubs, and synths were recorded at Sound of the Northwoods in Minneapolis, Minnesota and engineered by Nathan Wallestad and Nick Stanger. Ashbringer were brought into cursed existence in 2014 by Nick Stanger with debut LP Vacant via Avantgarde Music. In 2023 the lineup is rounded out with Jackson Catton  (guitar/backing vocals), Nathan Wallestad (bass), and Andy Meyer (drums).
