Sydney, Australia’s Skeleten announced their album Mentalized, coming February 7, 2025, via 2MR Records/ Astral People Recordings.
Along with this exciting news, his new single, “Viagra,” has been released to the masses. Mentalized specializes in not only dance music, but also delves deep into mental influence and dance music. Skeleten, aka Russell Fitzgibbon, focused on rich sonic hypnotic style, bringing innovation to the table.
In 2023, Skeleten released his Under Utopia album, which celebrated hope in the world and beauty. Now, Mentalized explores the struggle of getting there. Mentalized immerses the listener into abstract pop arrangements, nu-metal arrangements, and deep house music with trip-hop indie guitar rhythms.
Skeleten says of the single, “Shoutout v**gra for being a useful drug for human,s but also it really makes you think how the deepest parts of what makes you human are literally transformed by the forces of capital, mentalized.”
