All-female punks Bad Cop/Bad Cop have released a video for their new single, “Pursuit of Liberty”.

The single comes from their new album, The Ride, released on June 19 via Fat Wreck Chords.

Bad Cop Bad Cop’s The Ride

“Pursuit of Liberty” is one of two tracks on the album written and sung by vocalist/bassist Linh Le, as a fierce middle finger to the current administration and their treatment of immigrants (the second being “Certain Kind of Monster”, a brutal imaginary conversation with an ICE agent).

Le’s family fled Saigon in 1975, with the track acting as a juxtaposition of her family’s experiences to those of current refugees trying to make a better life in the US.

Le comments:  “This country is supposed to be the Land of Opportunity.  Everyone deserves the opportunity to follow their dreams and live their best life…especially those that have no choice but to risk theirs in pursuit of it.”
