The popular Bardown Breakdown podcast tops a massive milestone, recording episode number 200. The pop-punk and hockey focused show chatted with Ryan Mendez from Yellowcard, who recently announced their own comeback tour.
The podcast is an interesting combination of niches, pop punk, and hockey. But it works well and has become one of the top 50 most listened to hockey podcasts on streaming platforms.
“Since the launch of our podcast, we have strived to deliver engaging and informative content to our listeners,” the hosts say. “This achievement is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our team.”
The show has not only been launching pad for numerous up-and-coming bands, but featured major scene acts like Point North and Mom Jeans. Of course, there is plenty of hockey talk. The podcast ties together music and sports by asking artist about their hockey fanhood. For example, Bardown Breakdown asked Jon Lundin from Point North about growing up an LA Kings fan.
“We are grateful for the ongoing support of our listeners and look forward to continuing to deliver quality content that resonates with hockey fans around the world,” the podcast hosts say.
Hosts Mikey, Tom, and Justin grew up in Long Island, regulars at local shows and hockey games. Fast forward 20 years, the trio are combining their loves to give bands a platform and attract new fans to the scene.
