Bleakheart started out as the solo project of JP Damron (who also plays in Vermin Womb and In The Company Of Serpents). Soon he was joined by friends Kelly Schilling (Dreadnought), who lends her voice to the project, and Mark Chronister and Josh Kauffman, following their first demo.

Bleakheart’s new album Dream Griever is a reflection on the absurdity of the human condition. As the band explains:

“The album explores the patterns of destruction and turmoil created within us and the time we lose within those fleeting cycles. The record goes to all of those places – the acknowledgement, the attempted escape, and the inevitable missteps into the depths of our own machinations.”
