News: Botanist Plant Video Single ‘Aristolochia’ And Sow Details Of New Album ‘Paleobotany’

Avant-garde metal band Botanist have announced their twelfth album Paleobotany, with the release of their new song and music video “Aristolochia.”

The Botanist share their thoughts about the song:

“There are hundreds of species of pitcher plant, but the one that this song is about has been around since the Cretaceous period.”

Mastermind Otrebor shares his thoughts:

“Aristolochia gigantea is the biggest member of this family and that is no coincidence. Giant creatures and giant plants went together!”

Botanist hail from San Francisco, CA, and their lyrics are all about species of plants which is rare to see in a metal band. The mastermind Otrebor is known for bringing many talents in the band, which makes the band create a diverse sound. He discovered singer Mar in one of his favourite clubs. Drummer Daturus and bass player Tony Thomas bring the full energy to the record. Both of them are also members of Dawn Of Ouroboros. The new album Paleobotany is being mixed by acclaimed Swedish producer Fredrik Nordström at Studio Fredman The album will be released on May 17.
