Nottingham death metal outfit Beyond Grace have announced their signing to the Prosthetic Records roster along with the promise of new music to come this year.
The first taste of what the British quintet have in store can be found on their brutal Bandcamp-only single “Fearmonger,” alongside the politically charged music video from ERD Visual Media.
“Fearmonger” lays the foundations for a new album to be released later in 2021, with Beyond Grace sounding as cerebral, cathartic, and crushing as ever.
On their signing to Prosthetic Records, the band say:
“Signing with Prosthetic isn’t just a validation of our bloody-minded perseverance over the years; it’s an opportunity, and a responsibility, to showcase what we can do, what we’re really capable of, and prove that we’re a band worth listening to. And we’re going to take that opportunity and run with it as far as we can.”
Prosthetic Records’ EJ Johantgen adds that, “Beyond Grace mark the dawn of a new era in British death metal.”
On the release of “Fearmonger,’ the band comment:
“Musically it’s very representative of the direction of the next record—bigger riffs, heavier hooks, tighter, punchier writing—there’s no filler, and everything is just more focussed and fluid.
And then, obviously, the speech from Edward R. Murrow serves to reinforce how everything the song is talking about—the cultivation of discord and division, the weaponization of ignorance and paranoia—isn’t new, and reminds us that we can’t allow ourselves to give in and be driven by fear.”
