News: Bumsy and the Moochers to Release ‘Diet Violence’ on September 8

Chicago Ska-punk band Bumsy and the Moochers are set to release their brand-new full-length album, Diet Violence, on September 8.  The rad baddies from Chicago known as Bumsy and the Moochers have been bringing relentless ska punk music to the masses since 2012 and are perfect for fans of Dance Hall Crashers, Flying Racoon Suit, Less than Jake, Upbeat Allstars, Mustard Plug, and The Hippos.

The album is a collection of 10 tracks, seven of which are brand new—Three were previously recorded and released as singles culminating in The Sneak Peek EP released via Sell The Heart Records in 2021.

Frontperson Caitlin Edwards leads the band with her energetic and dynamic vocal approach, bring both the characteristically fun and peppy ska-punk style we’re used to on tracks like “AKT” and “Not Gonna Have It,” but at times also delivering a more tender and commanding style on tracks like the lead single “Won’t Give Up On Love” or “Hey Margarita.”

Diet Violence is available on cassette via Ska Punk International or compact disc via Sell The Heart Records. The labels will be exploring a small vinyl pressing as well.
