Burger Records have announced QUARANTUNES: Songs From Self-Isolation. The compilation, set to drop Thursday, April 16, will be released as a seven-volume series.
The series features over 125 different artists including Death Hags, Dream Cars, Fletcher C Johnson, C.J. McKnight, King Khan, Luther Russell, Mattiel, Rollingchild, Sufis, Timmy’s Organism, Uni Boys, The Lemons, TV Party, and more.
The idea for this release came to the label as a way to help artists earn money in quarantine. Funds will go to the artists, and Burger Records will cover fees associated with posting and selling the music.
“It’s the best way we could think to support artists directly right now, by giving them another opportunity to make money with their music,” said Sean Bohrman of Burger Records.
Each track from QUARANTUNES: Songs From Self-Isolation will be available for purchase on Burger’s Bandcamp for $2.00. Volumes one through seven will be available to purchase for $20.00 each. All funds from streaming and sales of individual tracks and compilation volumes will go directly to the artists involved.
