Caliban have released a single and video for the track, “Ascent Of The Blessed,” from their forthcoming record, Dystopia, out April 22 via Century Media Records.
Vocalist Andreas Dörner states:
“This song is inspired by my imagination of a near-death-experience and the question about my life. It’s about the question if one is a good or an evil person.”
Dystopia was written during the isolation of the pandemic thus the album’s title and opening salvo of … “Welcome Dystopia—Come show me who you are!” Fear not though, for somewhere deep in the anxiety and angst of this record lies a small glimmer of hope for the future. Caliban are the light at the end of that tunnel.
