News: Calmgrove Team Up with Locket’s Brad Garcia for ‘Tossing in My Sleep’

LA pop-punk quintet Calmgrove have debuted a brand-new song.

Featuring Brad Garcia of Locket, “Tossing in My Sleep” is out now.

Speaking on the new track, Calmgrove’s Eric Guzman shares: “I wrote the lyrics about feeling stuck in a cycle and how all of the ebbs and flows of life can keep me up at night.”

Guzman continues: “We recorded this song with Zach Tuch (Movements, Silverstein, Touché Amoré). During the process, we reached out to Brad from Locket. He was super cool to work with and crushed his verse. We hope you all enjoy “Tossing In My Sleep” and can’t wait to show you what we have next!”

Formed in early 2018 on the outskirts of Los Angeles, Calmgrove have emerged onto the scene with a well-honed balance of alternative rock, pop punk, and emo. As first seen on debut single “Lifelong,” Calmgrove’s urgency intertwines with hook-heavy melodies and edgy punk tones.

Calmgrove unveiled debut EP Light On Your End in fall 2019. A raft of recognition soon followed, including press support from Alternative Press and Rock Sound as well as spots on multiple Spotify editorial playlists. Supports with Bayside and In Her Own Words, saw the Covina outfit showcase their live set in front of sizeable crowds.

2022 single “Jade” saw Calmgrove bounce back from the pandemic slump with another blast of captivating alternative rock. Marrying rousing hooks with a grit and edge that’s equally prevalent on the band’s new single.

Collaring Brad Garcia from Fearless Records’ alternative rock crew Locket, “Tossing in My Sleep” is quintessential Calmgrove. The emotive new single deftly balances dark and atmospheric with hooky and infectious.
